Description

Imagine that you are sitting at your desk, doing your homework. All of a sudden, the image of a friend who you haven’t seen in a very long time pops into your mind. A few minutes later, the phone rings. Surprise! It’s that very same friend calling! Coincidence, or premonition? Author Helaine Becker pairs mysteries of the mind with the natural curiosity of savvy young readers in this interactive guide. What is Extra Sensory Perception (ESP)? Do psychic powers really exist, or can they be explained by science? Better yet, how can we have fun with it? Kids will read about everything from the intruiging science and history behind these mysterious phenomena, to the tricks that phony psychics use to fool us. Are You Psychic? is also chock-full of many exciting activities and experiments, providing the tools for kids to become their own psychic investigators. They’ll learn to identify and weed out the scheming phonies, and have a great time testing friends, family — even their pets!
