About the authors

Contributor Notes

Sherry Devereaux Ferguson is a senior professor and former chair and director of graduate studies for the Department of Communication, University of Ottawa. She is past chair of the Public Relations Division of the International Communication Association, and has acted on the editorial boards of numerous communication journals. She has written three books on organizational communication, two on public opinion and strategic planning in communication, two on public speaking, and a book on civic discourse and cultural politics in Canada. She has also published 27 articles in refereed journals.

Jenepher Lennox Terrion is associate professor and director of undergraduate studies in the Department of Communication, University of Ottawa. She has published widely on a range of multidisciplinary topics in international peer reviewed journals, including peer mentoring, addiction and smoking cessation, family support, seniors and social capital, and leadership development.
