Description

For university and college students at intermediate and advanced levels of training in Italian, this practical workbook in two parts (Schede di lavoro 1 and Schede di lavoro 2) offers intensive practice in all areas of grammar, with emphasis on the appropriate use of vocabulary. Schede di lavoro 2 offers practice on the imperativo, condizionale, congiuntivo, gerundio, infinito, and participio and the syntactical structure of coordinate and subordinate clauses in Italian. Depending on the student's needs and level of instruction, the schede can serve to review grammar or to introduce new grammar and vocabulary. The Schede are organized by level of difficulty and lead gradually to an advanced stage at which the student is able to deal with complex and sophisticated material.

Schede di lavoro 2 is now available with an accompanying CD-ROM containing the workbook's exercises. The authors have compiled an interactive workbook using the CALIS program developed at Duke University. The schede on diskette is easy to use with detailed on-line help screens. Features of the program include:

  • an appropriate grammar capsule as an introduction to each exercise
  • a vocabulary screen with the less common words that appear in the exercise
  • forms of irregular verbs
  • detailed feedback for possible erroneous entries
  • a confirmation of any appropriate solution

Software Requirements: MS-DOS version 5.0 or higher; 4MB RAM (8MB recommended); 5MB free disk space
