Tactile Desires: the Work of Jack Sures is organized and circulated by the Mackenzie Art Gallery and the Tom Thomson Art Gallery. This porject has been made possible in part through a contribution from the Museums Assitance Program, Department of Canadian Heritage.

About the authors

Virginia Eichhorn is the director and curator of the Tom Thomson Art Gallery. From 2004 to 2009, she was curator of the Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery in Waterloo, Ontario. As an independent curator, she has presented Canadian exhibitions worldwide, including at the XII Biennale of Art at Vila Nova de Cerveira in Portugal. She has written numerous catalogue essays and has contributed to art magazines such as Border Crossings, Canadian Art, and ESPACE Sculpture.

Timothy Long has been Head Curator at the MacKenzie Art Gallery since 2001. His landmark exhibitions of Saskatchewan artists include: David Thauberger: Road Trips & Other Diversions (2013); Tactile Desires: The Work of Jack Sures (2011); and Joe Fafard (2007). His recent publications include: After Presence: Problems of Presence in Contemporary Art (MacKenzie Art Gallery, 2013) and The Vaults: Art from the MacKenzie Art Gallery and University of Regina Collections (with Stephen King, University of Regina Press, 2013).
